Is a human anything more than a flux of self-awareness?

Everything is aware, everything is alive. Our self awareness is really an illusion, that we are aware of being separate selves, we lose our aspect of knowing it is all one awareness,with many manifestations . that is called ego. When the ego comes into play we hook up all kinds of concepts, identity and meaning of what the self is, and forget what we really are, beingness. A particle can split and from huge vast distances still communicate with the other part. And we think we are so smart, it is the ego.A tree doesn't need a reason to be, it just is, but we ask what is the reason to be?
