How can I tame my Hair? 10 Points?

Okay so my hair is really hard to tame. I am mixed with 4 thing 15% chinese 15% Portuguese 40% black and then 20% indian. When I wash or wet my hair my hair has waves and when you comb it it has a little bit more tighter waves. But when I leave it to air dry or towel dry it is kind of poofy and I tend to hate it. I try using everything curl keeper, moisturizers, detanglers, water but it still poofs up.
