I had to write about my feelings in a letter--"for a woman by a woman" pls comment?

I am a straight woman and if someone caught me off guard with a confession of a lesbian crush, I wouldn't be offended, but I would probably be creeped out. I would respond to your email and let you down softly and then avoid you when school began again. Now, I'm from the south and down here, you can't just come out and say those things to the wrong people. You would be terminated from your job because EVERYONE would know and parents would complain. But I'm a liberal thinker and I wouldn't make a big deal of it. I would just tell you I'm not interested and avoid awkward interactions.
